I will ship it as soon as I finish tinkering with it…– Sagar
Building carefully

“how do you make complex systems feel simple for the people who use them?
I like taking messy, tangled problems and turning them into something that just works. At work that means onboarding and configuration systems for banks. On the side it means small tools I wish existed.
I studied Industrial and Systems Engineering at IIT Kharagpur, an integrated B.Tech and M.Tech, which taught me to think in systems before writing a line of code. Along the way I won gold at the Inter IIT film making competition twice, in 2019 and 2022, which is where my taste for storytelling and polish comes from.
Today I'm a software engineer at Bank of New York in Bengaluru, working on Spring Boot, Oracle and Python services. Recently I've been connecting them to AI agents through MCP, so that complex configuration changes take minutes instead of hours.
Looking ahead
Outside work I build apps for Mac, Android and the web: Gazewell, a menu bar break reminder for healthier eyes; Blobmates, friendly animated avatars; and Sara, a bilingual voice companion for small-business owners in India.

Making things on the side
Apps, avatars and agents
still tinkering, and still shipping.
I'm not attached to any single discipline. I care about the thing I'm building and whether the people using it feel looked after. Everything else you figure out along the way.
